Paithalmala is located 40 km from Taliparamba and 65 km from Kannur. Nestled in the Kerala Karnataka border near to Kodagu forests, it lies in the Western Ghats. Paithalmala is one of the most amazing tourist destinations in the district of Kannur. The hill station looks over the Coorg valleys on one side and the plains of Kannur on the other. From the above, if the fog lifts a little, you’d see tiny matchbox-sized houses in villages far down the valley. The sky is one magic palette and in every second, you find the formation change. From the suicide point, you can look down the places far away flickering in the breeze. It has become a favorite spot for the nature enthusiasts, photographers, trekkers and leisurely visitors.
