MUTHANGA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY



Covered in lush greenery spread over an area of 345 sqft, the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna. The sanctuary connects Karnataka and Tamil Nadu through the Bandipur and Madumalai parks. It is quite possible to come across elephant herds, bison, deer, peacocks, monkeys, tigers, leopards, bears, reptiles, butterflies, exotic birds and medicinal herbs. Fact: The Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary is considered to be the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala and bio-geographically one of the richest tracts of peninsular India.
