Anakotta is famous for Muniyara Dolmens which are magnificent prehistoric dolmens located in Marayoor which is about 55 km from Munnar. These Neolithic ground burial chambers are built of large stone slabs and are called megaliths. These granite slabs are over a thousand years old. Many anthropologists, archaeologists and history enthusiasts from all over the world visit this place.
