Varayadumotta is the highest peak of the Pommudi Mountains (Western Ghats). It is one of the isolated sites with a burgeoning goat (Nilgiri Tahr) population. This range is also known as Varayadumudi and Varayattumutti. After a strenuous trek with slippery roads and treacherous cliffs, a successful climb up Varayadumotta offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. However, Valayadumotta's famous goat rarely appears in front of travellers.
