The Eravikulam National park is located in the Kannan Devan Hills in the southern Western Ghats and covers an area of 97 km². Visitors are only allowed in the tourist area of the park. This park is famous for its natural habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr, an endangered goat, and the park was built with the aim of protecting them.
