Ananganmala means immovable mountain. According to folklore, Lord Hanuman dropped a piece of a mountain that was transported from the Himalayas to Sri Lanka through Ottapalam which later came to be known as Ananganmala. It is located 10 kilometres north of Ottapalam town. It is an adventurous rock climbing destination located 10 km from Ottapalam town, known for its rich Ayurvedic herbs. These hills extend for 10 kilometres and the height of the peak is 1200 meters above the ground.
